Supporting families navigating behavioral challenges, ADHD, and parenting stress
I work collaboratively with pediatricians, women’s health providers, schools, and fellow clinicians to support families during key moments when parenting stress, anxiety, or child behavior concerns begin to feel overwhelming.
My practice focuses on parent centered, evidence based therapy for families with young children, particularly when concerns about behavior, ADHD, or anxiety are impacting both the child and the parent.
About My Practice
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist based in California, providing online therapy to families across the state. I specialize in working with parents of preschool and elementary aged children who are struggling with challenging behaviors, emotional dysregulation, ADHD, or anxiety.
My work integrates Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), mindfulness, EMDR, and trauma informed approaches to help parents feel calmer, more confident, and more connected with their children.
When Providers Often Refer to Me
Providers often refer families to my practice in moments such as:
-
A parent appears highly anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally flooded when discussing their child’s behavior or a new diagnosis.
-
A child has been identified as having ADHD, anxiety, or behavioral regulation challenges and the family is asking what to do next.
-
Parents are struggling to implement recommendations following an evaluation or diagnosis.
-
Behavioral challenges are escalating at home and parents need structured, parent focused support.
-
Families would benefit from PCIT or a PCIT informed approach, particularly for young children.
In these situations, parents often need more than reassurance or general advice. They need individualized support that helps them regulate their own stress while learning concrete, evidence based strategies to support their child.
How I Support Families
My work is centered on helping parents understand what is driving their child’s behavior and how to respond in ways that reduce conflict and increase connection.
Support may include:
-
Parent Child Interaction Therapy or PCIT informed parenting support
-
Coaching parents in effective, developmentally appropriate behavioral strategies
-
Helping parents regulate anxiety and emotional overwhelm related to parenting
-
Supporting families after ADHD or behavioral diagnoses
-
Strengthening parent child relationships and emotional regulation at home
The goal is not perfection, but sustainable change that helps families feel more confident and supported.
Who Is a Good Fit for Referral
My practice is a good fit for families with:
-
Preschool or elementary aged children
-
Concerns related to tantrums, defiance, emotional dysregulation, or impulsivity
-
ADHD or anxiety diagnoses or suspected concerns
-
Parents who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure how to manage behavior effectively
-
Families seeking parent focused, evidence based therapy rather than child only treatment
Collaboration and Care Coordination
I value collaboration and view my work as complementary to the care you already provide. With appropriate consent, I am open to communication and coordination to support families holistically.
My goal is to support parents in a way that aligns with your recommendations and helps families follow through with care plans more effectively.
